About us



Anthony Butler is a professional archaeologist and heritage consultant. He started working in archaeology in 1998 in Ireland, and completed a B.A. at the University of Toronto in 2004. Mr. Butler completed a MSc degree in Professional Archaeology at Oxford University in 2007. He has carried out archaeological work at numerous sites in Ireland, Canada, Jamaica and England. Mr. Butler has also completed historic building surveys in Drogheda, Ireland and Oxford, England, where he was trained in Architecture and Historic Building Survey. Currently, he is also the director of archaeological operations for the Irish Settlement in Jamaica Project.

Kate Butler is a specialist in folklore and local history. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 2003 specialising in Celtic Languages and History. In 2006, Mrs Butler graduated from University College Dublin with a MPhil in Celtic Studies and Folklore. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Canada. Kate is also the director of historical research for the Irish Settlement in Jamaica Project.
